Kati Miller, CLHMS, RSPS
Kati and her family moved to Highlands in 2009 from Charlotte, NC where she earned a BA in Communications from North Carolina State University. Kati began her career in real estate working for Pappas Properties, a commercial development company in uptown Charlotte. She launched a mixed-use community where she marketed and sold luxury condominiums. During her time at Pappas Properties, she learned firsthand the importance of customer service and ethical real estate practices.
If you’re interested in joining a club, Kati has extensive knowledge of all of the golf and tennis communities in the area and will help you find the perfect fit. And if you can’t find the perfect house, Kati will help you find a lot or land to build the home of your dreams.

Ali Moody, CLHMS, RSPS
Ali Moody is a native of Concord, North Carolina who fell in love with the mountains when she attended Western Carolina University. After graduating with two degrees in Public Relations and Sociology, she began a sales position in Cashiers where her appreciation for the area grew.
With 16 years of experience in the Cashiers-Highlands real estate and construction markets, she utilizes her skills and expertise to the advantage of her clients. Her extensive knowledge of the area and real estate marketing know-how translate into her refined talents she uses to support successful real estate sales relationships.
Ali loves life on the Cashiers-Highlands Plateau with her husband and their three children where she enjoys landscape photography, hiking, and spending quality time with her family.
Ken Fernandez, ABR, RSPS

Ken initially worked for a small real estate company in Cashiers before starting Buyers’ Only Real Estate in 2007 where he was an Accredited Buyers Broker (ABR) as well as Owner/Operator and Broker in Charge until 2013. Ken has enjoyed serving as President of the Cashiers Area Chamber of Commerce from 2011 until 2013 and now serves as an active past President. He also sits on the Board for the Jackson County Tourism and Development Authority.

Mike is a Western North Carolina native who proudly grew up in the small community of Bethel, NC. He spent more than a decade serving his community in law enforcement as a K-9 officer and a member of the Waynesville Police Department SWAT team. Mike is a man of strong integrity and credits his law enforcement family with shaping his moral character. From one small mountain town to another, Mike was drawn to the mountain town of Cashiers, NC and he relocated to Cashiers in the spring of 2016 where the allure of this community’s world class golf courses and endless hiking trails pulled him right in. As part of the Outdoor Pursuits team for 2 years at Mountaintop Golf & Lake Club, he gained valuable insight into our very unique resort industry. Being a people person and passionate about investing in the real estate market, Mike knew he had found his calling. He is forward thinking and dedicated to his clients, passionate about photography, videography, and is focused on providing a heightened online presence for his clients. Mike enjoys the great outdoors, working with animals, and any opportunity he can find to hone his many talents.
Ashley Stewart, RSPS
Ashley has deep roots in the Highlands and Cashiers area as she was born and raised in the heart of Cashiers. She attended Western Carolina University where she obtained a Business Management Degree with a concentration in Finance. After college, Ashley started her career in hospitality, but was always passionate about real estate and residential construction. Ashley earned her real estate license in 2014 and went to the Asheville and Hendersonville areas to start her career in real estate sales. She was a top producing buyers’ agent in both Henderson and Buncombe County. Ashley always knew her heart would lead her back to the Highlands-Cashiers plateau where she could leverage her local expertise to help clients looking to invest here. She returned to Cashiers in 2017 and is excited to use her vast knowledge of high-end residential building, as well as her knowledge of the local geography to serve her clients to her fullest. Ashley takes advantage of what our area has to offer in her spare time. She enjoys hiking the beautiful trails among the Blue Ridge Mountains and fishing on Lake Glenville. She is also planning to learn drone photography to better serve her clients from all angles!
Besides Cashiers NC, Colt is also an active Broker in Atlanta, GA, Charleston, SC, and Jacksonville, FL and can direct you to the best fishing spots (both salt and freshwater) in the southeast. Colt moved to Cashiers in 2006 from Palm Beach, FL and spent five years working on the sales & development team for Discovery Land Company. He worked on The Baker’s Bay project in the Bahamas and on Mountaintop Golf & Lake club here in Cashiers, NC. Colt attended The University Of Mississippi “Ole Miss”, and Western Carolina University “WCU.”
Colt’s family has deep roots in the Highlands-Cashiers area dating back four generations when his Great Grandfather, Andrew Gennett started The Gennett Lumber Co. in the early 1900’s. “One of my fondest memories as child was when we would start our arrival here on our annual family trip up from Florida. After 11 long hours piled up in our station wagon, fighting with my three sisters the whole way up, it was awesome to roll down the windows, smell the cool air, and to know that we had a great summer ahead of us at the family farm “Mountain Top.”
Rachel is a Franklin, North Carolina native and knows Western North Carolina like the back of her hand. She first discovered her interest in real estate when she began working at the Highlands-Cashiers Board of REALTORS®.There she was able to hone her skills in graphic design, marketing, and social media.
She is currently enrolled at Western Carolina University, working on a degree in Journalism and Creative Writing. She plans on continuing her education and growing in the real estate field.
